38th Annual Bluegrass Festival May 28th through the 31st 2015
We have started putting together the schedule for the 38th Annual Bluegrass Festival here at Strawberry Park. We are thrilled to welcome back some old friends , The Kruger Brothers will be joining us for the 2015 Festival. Their unique style of Bluegrass was missed at last years festival, so I want to thank Jens, Uwe,and Joel for considering us for the 2015 season. We are also proud to announce that The Gibson Brothers are back bigger and better than ever. Two time IBMA Entertainers of the year , their close harmony singing is truly something you must hear, so come join us at Strawberry Park. We also have The Steeldrivers they are back after some time away from the park. I agree with a quote from Tim O’Brien “I love how this band knows the rules enough to break them now and again. They show great taste and invention, using their own musical personalities and the basic building blocks of tradition to express some of the very best in modern bluegrass”. Stay tuned for more bands many of which will be returning from last years festival….We have added Della Mae to the line up, This Boston-bred string band, which was nominated for best bluegrass album this year at the Grammys for its Rounder debut, “This World Oft Can Be, we welcome them back after some time away from the festival. We happily welcome back the South Carolina Broadcasters, they were so well received last year we couldn’t think about not having them back. The South Carolina Broadcasters are not just another group dipping into the deep pool of traditional music in hopes of being trendy. Nearly every facet of the group is subservient to the style of music they present.
We have added an up and coming band that has been selected to be showcased at this years IBMA Conference. We are excited to have The Lonely Heartstrings Band join us for this years festival. Thank you Patrick for working with us. Another great addition to our festival is Bob Amos & the Catamount Crossing. Stay Tuned we are adding new bands & old friends daily now.
We will be Raffling off a Martin D 28 at this years festival, with the proceeds going to the IBMA’s Trust Fund for Bluegrass Musicians.
We now offer pet friendly rentals of RVs, Park Models, and Cabins. See our pet friendly updated pet policy.
