The trees with the most green leaves were most vulnerable
The Town of Preston is at 62% out (as of 9am Thursday), and while some progress is being made, we are also relying on main feeds from the Voluntown/North Stonington grid, and those towns are still mostly in the dark as well. In addition, we have yet to see a replacement utility pole that will be needed for Pierce Road restoration. Therefore, while we remain optimistic that it may be back on soon, the reality is that it may encompass some or all of the weekend. As soon as it is back on, we will post on Facebook. Until then, the water is on to all sites, and our restrooms near the office are open. If joining us, please be careful of the power lines on Pierce Road.
