Miles Standish
The rain is slowly moving away on this eve of Turkey Day, and it looks to be a fairly nice stretch of weather on the way for the holiday weekend. Although the water to most sites is now off, we do have a few sites with “winter water” spigots, which although intended for long-term stays, will work this weekend (provided the overnight temps don’t dip too low). If you are joining us and would like a site with winter water, please pick one in the area of sites 27-39. If the water does not go on, it is probably that the spigot is “unsprung” to prevent freeze breaks. Simply push down the spigot and rotate slightly clockwise. Remember, the bathrooms near the main office are open. Trash should be brought to the dumpsters, located just beyond sites 194A-D. If arriving late (or on Thanksgiving), there are maps and registration forms in the “Info Box” adjacent to the office door. Have a wonderful holiday, and pleae remember safety first if you are deep frying your bird at your campsite. Happy Anniversary to the pilgrims, including my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather (pictured).
