As many of our campers have heard, Jacob Biber passed away on Saturday in Florida at the age of 94. Some may have known Jake as the founder of The Preston Trading Post, or as the author of “Survivors”, and he was the father of Buck Biber, owner of Strawberry Park. Additional survivors include his wife Eva, son Joe (owner of the Trading Post) and son Ben, as well as numerous grandchildren, two of whom you may know through their work at Strawberry Park (Josh, currently working with “Teach for America” in Boston, and Melissa, currently working in Norwalk).
